I arrived Friday morning to be greeted by the beautiful site of Red Dusters flying from the tourers in the field, way fewer than in previous years but that was to be expected, we went to the club and were greeted by other lads.

Friday night we had Ritchie "C" entertain us. he has been a regular for a few years now. Again not as many as usual, there were more locals and campers than us, but at least it made the place throb.

I was asked by one of the bar staff if i would go around and see if any of our lads would like to donate to a children's play area at the rear of the club, They are hoping to raise enough funds so this area can be built which will include special needs children, part of the plan will be a boat which they want to name Vindicatrix, I raised a total of £150 00 towards the cause,

On Saturday we arrived at the Dockers club at 10.00, to find the doors locked, there were quite a few lads waiting, they did not open until 12.00, and there was only 1 barman, this will have to be addressed for next year.

We had our usual church service, conducted by Reverend Steve Godsell, and his wife played the organ. Tea, Coffee and biscuits were served to us where we were seated, not a big scrum, very effective, a raffle was held by the church and a collection bucket was held by the door.

That evening a raffle was held, which was run by Phil Garrod, the prizes were mostly donated by the Vindi Boys also the Dockers club, we would have liked to have seen more donations from the Boys as this money will fund future events. we were again entertained by Ritchie, he sang a lot of new songs, and also the pipers made there appearance, there was close to 90 -100 people there, a very enjoyable evening.
Founded in 1993 to reunite former "VindiBoys"
and Sea School staff and act as a central repository for any photos and memoirs about the T.S. Vindicatrix.

Although the training period was a maximum of twelve weeks, it had the affect of setting us on a course for life, and this fact is now very much appreciated.

If you were a "Vindi Boy" at any time during the schools existence, this is your Association and we invte you to 'sign on'.
